Yesterday was an excellent day of practice on the Swan 42, Better Than … We worked on our sail and mast set up and then sailed into the harbor to spar against another Swan. After about 15 practice starts that would go up to a cross or a lee bow etc. we did one race up to a top mark and then into the harbor.
Dinner was a team effort and was delicious. A bonus of sailing on an all women’s team is that the food is great.
Tomorrow the racing starts and we are hoping that our strategy of just throwing a brand new team into the regatta last weekend to highlight our weakness immediately and under pressure will pay off and we will move up the fleet in this regatta.
